- Blues and Windy WeatherAdded11/26/2009 - 10:13
Last night on the show, I was joined by Catfish Keith, a legendary Blues player who you may have seen play at The Prince Albert last night. If not check out his bottleneck slide guitar at www.catfishkeith.com
I had lots of fun at Alice Russel's gig at Komedia last night, she's fab!
On the show today we're talking about buying local produce and cooking it up and getting it in your freezer. Did you know we waste £12bn in edible food each year as we just chuck it away.
All you need is a bit of time and some tupperware and you're sorted!
Cinecity is back in Brighton and we'll be hearing about the range of international films you can go and see as to be honest it's pretty yukky outside and it's gonna get colder this weekend. Check out www.cine-city.co.uk for more info.
Do join me later
Natalie B x - Natalie B's last week on DriveAdded11/24/2009 - 11:49
Hola, well the weather has taken a turn for the worst and we must spare a thought for people in Cumbria dealing with the floods. I went to Uni up in Lancashire, during which time I went out with a lad from Cumbria who was a part time fireman.. Lovely lad, although he did treat me rather poorly!
Anyhow - there's lots coming up this week on Drive. On today's show we're catching up with Chris Creswell from Voodoo Vaudeville which is celebrating its 10th Anniversary next month. Chris teaches Clownery, so we'll be ...oh yes clowning around!
Tomorrow, we'll be hearing from Judy Stevens, organisers of the seventh Christmas Artists Open Houses festival which is opening – by popular demand – for three weekends across Brighton & Hove. Always fun to have a nose around people houses don't you think www.aoh.org.uk
Also I'll be speaking to James Fitzgerald, one of the guys behing the first ever UK Snowfilm Fest - happening at Komedia on Thurs and Friday. If you're into your boarding / skiing .. you'll love this as there's numerous premiers of big films from all over the world www.snowfilmfest.co.uk
On Thursday, I'll be giving you some tips on how you can grow your own food and eat more local produce as I chat with Jess Crocker, Harvest Manager for Brighton & Hove - www.harvest-bh.org.uk
And Friday - well who knows what might happen..
Do join me
Natalie B x - I'd like to teach the world to sing...Added11/17/2009 - 16:58
S, all this week on Drive you can win a fab prize at Lucky Voice, the UK's premier Kareoke Venue on Black Lion Street in Brighton.
Roobie in Hove won yesterday, singing Kings of Leon - My Sex is On Fire and today Tasha in Kemptown belted out a bit of Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer and has won a booth for 15 people - for 2 hours of singing, plus a glass of bubbly each.
Keep listening after 4pm each day this week. I went to Lucky Voice last night and despite being pretty awful it was loads of fun - if ican d it, you certainly can so come on... don't be shy!

- Things that go bump in the nightAdded10/29/2009 - 18:36
Friday's Drivetime will be all things ghostly with a chat with Ghost Hunter Ed Felix about what Halloween really means and how we can get Ghost Hunting. Also Penny Balchin will be talking about her Ghost Tour around Brighton's Most Haunted House Preston Manor on Saturday night..
I'll also be giving Toyah Wilcox something to get her teeth stuck into as she talks about her appearance in the Vampire Rock show at the Brighton Centre on Saturday..
fun fun - do join me x
- Natalie B looking after DriveAdded10/26/2009 - 11:56
Just to clarify, I don't look quite so manly as
the silhouette here, just wanted to give an air of mystery!!So this is week 3 for me back in Brighton and have been having a lovely time being back by the sea.
Last week I caught up Nerina Pallot, Laura Solon and Magician Pete Firman. As well as how to eat locally here in Brighton and Hove as it was National Apple Day. Check out brightonpermaculture.co.uk. White Night was rather fun on Saturday night. I liked the guys in the gold dressing gowns guarding the big gold cats and did you see the money box projection in Pavillion Gardens.
This week on Drive as always your Magic Moments after 3pm are welcomed and your Guilty Secret Song happens at 4.30pm. Just let me know a tune that you can't help sing out loud too or cut some shapes in the office to.
Looking forward to it

- Pride 2010 needs your helpAdded08/14/2009 - 14:23

As you know, Juice 107.2 is very proud to work with Brighton Pride each and ever year to support Brighton's huge annual event.
It has been announced that Pride took a big financial hit this year - £50,000 down, and its money they need to make back before the end of the year, or there's going to be a major scaling down for 2010.
If everyone who went to Preston Park this year donated just 33p, they'd make that money back.
So PLEASE, if you can spare a few pounds, go to www.justgiving.com/Brightonpride and donate whatever you can. Its Brighton's biggest and best annual event, and the biggest free party in Europe - lets keep it that way!

- BRIGHTON LIVE 2009!Added05/29/2009 - 15:20

Brighton Live is back in September 2009, poised and ready to showcase the best talent from venues across the music capital of the South East. As always, you’ll find all the key Brighton bands, promoters, labels & music industry professionals working together to push boundaries and continue Brighton’s reputation as one of the most eclectic and ever-thriving music scenes in the UK. It’s all about celebrating the diversity of music that our city has to offer and raising awareness of local talent and building their live following.
2009 will see the city alive with the usual Brighton music shenanigans and much, much more. Last year, Brighton Live 08 saw over 10.000 punters flocking to see over 200 bands playing at nearly 100 free gigs in over 30 venues across the city (which over the years has included pubs, clubs, cafés, theatres, a church and even a library!). This year promises to be bigger and better with more bands, more venues and countless intriguing and creative music related seminars- all for free!
Brighton Live is a great platform for acts to find their feet and develop their profile through networking opportunities and really place themselves on the industry map and show what a great place Brighton can be as a creative place to produce and enjoy music. This event is the perfect antidote to the media bombardment of recessional doom and gloom.
Further Information:If you're in a band and would like the chance to take part in Brighton Live, we're giving you one last chance!
