- Juice 107.2's 10th BirthdayAdded03/18/2008 - 10:53· Well, the party is over, and just about everyone here at Juice has finally recovered from the big night - and what a fantastic night it was...
Our street entertainers created a visual treat in the entrance, with fire poys and angle grinders blazing into the glorious spring evening sky.
After a few drinks had been consumed, people headed towards the bucking bronco (Happy Days Events) to try their luck - most failing from what I could see.
With buffet and a chocolate fountain to keep the taste buds busy, the acts on stage kept the crowd entertained - Doug Walker kicked things off, with Sonic Hearts and Passenger rounding off some brilliant sets.
And the evening only got better from there... Stick It On, as always, proved a huge crowd-pleaser, with guest DJs (anyone who picked some good tunes) having their 15 minutes of fame and blasting out some old-school classics. Which warmed everyone up nicely, for the main event duo...
Around 11, the Juicy Dance Crew took to the stage for a show-stopping performance of the Freemasons' "Rain Down Love" - I was stood next to the DJ boys themselves and they were honestly in awe. To top it all off, the song culminated in our big balloon drop (balloon.com). Everyone scrambled madly to pop the balloons and reap the rewards inside!
And just when you think the evening entertainment had finished, Beardy Man took to the stage - and not a single person walked out of the party NOT a fan of his. How could you fail to be impressed by such a raw talent? 'Beat-boxing champion' alone doesn't do this man justice - he beat boxes, he sings (with a beautiful voice) and then he records his voice sample as he goes, loops it, turns it into a beat - and goes absolutely crazy with effects that puts every other DJ I've seen to shame. Just awesome
Everyone at Juice would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped out on the night - especially Concorde 2 for hosting and being the perfect venue, Decoram for their fab decorations, and Absolute TV - who filmed the whole event. For pictures of the event from 3sixty click HERE .... Videos from Absolute to follow shortly on the Juice website...
Most of all, Juice would like to thank everyone who came along and helped make the party such a massive success. It was so nice to see so many people there enjoying themselves, and who knows - we might even throw a party every year ;o)...
